AIAS Second Interactive Achievement Awards is the latest item crossing the POCG news desk. The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS), created to advance and recognize outstanding achievement in the interactive arts, Friday announced the recipients of its second annual Interactive Achievement Awards.
The awards were presented at a gala event held May 13 at the Variety Arts Theater during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. Zelda: Ocarina of Time garnered six awards including the prestigious Interactive Title of the Year. Also earning multiple awards were Half-Life and Banjo-Kazooie, both titles receiving two each. In addition to Interactive Title of the Year, Zelda: Ocarina of Time was honored as Adventure Game of the Year, Role Playing Game of the Year, Console Game of Year and for Outstanding Achievement in Interactive Design, and Outstanding Achievement in Software Engineering.
