Due for release beginning in October of this year, Rage’s first four S3TC-based games include Midnight GT, Hostile Waters, Off Road GT and Incoming Forces, the long awaited sequel to the hugely successful Incoming. S3TC, which was adopted by Microsoft as a standard in DirectX, is a major leap forward for PC gaming technology as it enables games to use up to six times the amount of textures found in ‘s games without affecting performance.
