Star Trek: Starfleet Command gone Gold is the news today, which means another box, download, or retail shelf just got busier.

14 Degrees East, a division of Interplay Entertainment, is pleased to announce that the highly anticipated Star Trek: Starfleet Command has gone gold and will be in stores August 10, 1999 for Windows 95/98/NT based computers.

Anticipation for the title has elevated over the past few days as retail outlets across the country have doubled their pre-orders. Using data from the best-selling, strategy board game, Starfleet Battles, Starfleet Command puts players in the captain’s chair for a thrilling real-time space combat experience.

If this one has been on your watch list, start checking the shelves instead of just the screenshots.
