NHL Championship 2000 to have $4 Million Marketing Campaign puts another piece of PC gear into the September hardware pile, and 1999 is not exactly short on that right now.
FOX Sports Interactive it will back its NHL Championship 2000 video game with a $4 million marketing campaign committed to the title for the duration of the 1999-2000 NHL season. The campaign will powerfully leverage the synergy of FOX Sports entities, including its regional sports networks, its co-ownership of the Los Angeles Kings hockey club and Staples Center arena, as well as FOX Sports branded music CD and restaurants. At the core of FOX Sports Interactive’s aggressive marketing agenda is over $2 million in television advertising for NHL Championship 2000, which will run from September through June, when the Stanley Cup Finals are held.
The hardware race is getting mean, and the upside is simple: gamers keep getting faster, stranger toys to bolt into their rigs.
