To date, the Final Fantasy series has sold in excess of 22 million units world-wide coupled with record breaking figures of pre-sell in Japan for the release of Final Fantasy VIII on the PlayStation. Mike McGarvey, Chief Operating Officer of Eidos says: “We are thrilled to further our relationship with Squaresoft and will continue the support through sales and marketing to make Final Fantasy VIII a big success.”.
