Mangmi AIR Y
The Mangmi AIR Y is a vertical Android emulation handheld announced in July 2026, with pre-orders opening on August 12 that year. It is the entry model of a two-device line alongside the more powerful AIR Y Pro, and shares that machine's shell, screen and battery while running considerably weaker silicon.
The display is a 4.2 inch IPS panel at 1280x960 in a 4:3 aspect ratio, chosen to suit the squarish output of the console generations most emulation handhelds are bought for, and unusually large for a device in this shape and price bracket. Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 with an Adreno 610 GPU, a low-end mobile chip contemporary with the Snapdragon 865 used in the Pro, alongside 3GB of LPDDR4X memory and 32GB of storage. The device ships on Android 14, ahead of the Pro's Android 13, and carries a 5000mAh battery with 15W charging, active cooling, a single speaker, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, microSD expansion, USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a six-axis gyroscope. It weighs 279 grams.
Pricing was set at $89.99 during a 72 hour early bird window running from August 12 to August 15, 2026, rising to $94.99 at retail, in black and a translucent Retro GB finish. That price placed it directly against two other devices launched the same week: Anbernic's RG SP at $57.99 and AYANEO's KONKR Pocket Advance at $89, both of which target the same buyer with different compromises.
