About This Hardware

The RetroTINK 4K is a high-end video scaler designed by Mike Chi to connect retro game consoles to modern displays. It accepts analog signals (composite, S-Video, component, RGB) and scales them to up to 4K resolution with extremely low latency. Powered by an FPGA, it offers features like scanline emulation, HDR output, aspect ratio correction, and advanced filtering. Two models are available: the 4K Pro, which includes additional processing capabilities like the Horizontal Blur filter engine, and the 4K CE, a streamlined model. Firmware updates regularly introduce new features such as Lumacode support. The RetroTINK 4K is considered one of the best solutions for preserving the look of vintage games on high-definition screens.
