The WingMan Interceptor is a USB PC joystick from Logitech, aimed squarely at the serious flight sim and racing enthusiast. It retails for $59.95 and ships with a one-year limited warranty. Logitech markets it as an "unfair advantage" with a right-handed molded shaft, nine rubberized buttons (four on the base, five on the shaft including a unique two-way trigger toggle), and three eight-way hat switches, more than most sticks on the market. A radial throttle sits to the left of the shaft. The stick uses Logitech's Net-2 magnetic encoding technology, which promises drift-free operation. Installation under Windows 98 is plug-and-play; the included WingMan Profiler software lets you map up to 33 functions and download pre-made game profiles from Logitech's website. Two full games are bundled: F-22 ADF and Warbirds 2.01.
