The upgrade, which brings feedback from the game's fans, contains a host of new packs in that will add to the allure of the newly put out hit strategy title, including improved multiplayer capabilities. The upgrade gives gamers new ways to participate in a multiplayer game of Alpha Centauri, allowing fans to compete with each other via e-mail or by using the "hot seat" mode. Now it leaves the press-release fog and goes where it belongs: onto hard drives, store shelves, and multiplayer lobbies.
