Anbernic now sells official replacement parts for its handheld lineup
Anbernic has launched an official replacement parts store covering shells, screens, batteries, joysticks, and more for its retro handheld lineup.
Anbernic has opened a dedicated parts page on its website, selling replacement components for what Retro Handhelds describes as practically its entire handheld catalog. The available parts include shells, screens, conductive rubber pads, joysticks, batteries, motherboards, and buttons — the full set of things that typically end a device’s life when they fail and you can’t source a replacement.
The range of supported models is wider than you might expect. Older units like the RG350P and RG280V are on the list alongside newer hardware. The WIN600, Anbernic’s only Windows-based handheld, has every part listed as available, which means you could theoretically build one from scratch. According to Retro Handhelds, the parts cost of a complete WIN600 build comes to roughly $355 — about six dollars more than buying an assembled unit — so it is not a budget route, but the option existing at all matters.
This is the right move, and it has been a long time coming. A dead joystick or a swollen battery should not mean the end of a handheld that otherwise runs fine. The flash-cart and emulation handheld community keeps these devices in service far longer than the manufacturers ever planned for, and official parts make that significantly less painful. Whether international shipping is available and on what terms is not confirmed in the current reporting, so check the parts page directly before you order.
