ASUS AGP-V3800 TNT2 Cards Are in Stores Now, 64-Bit Magic Due Mid-June
ASUS and NVIDIA strike an alliance: the TNT2-based AGP-V3800 series is in stores now, with a 64-bit AGP-V3800 Magic coming in mid-June.
ASUSTeK is the latest name to strike a board deal with NVIDIA, and unlike most alliance announcements, this one comes with product you can actually buy today. The AGP-V3800 series, built on the RIVA TNT2, is already on shelves: 32 MB of memory, clock speeds up to 183 MHz, and video capture through the bundled Live3800 software.
ASUS is also pitching the driver package as a selling point, with separate display settings for 3D games, the desktop, and video, plus hot keys, quick shortcuts, and full TV-out configuration. A cheaper sibling arrives in the third week of June: the AGP-V3800 Magic, running a 64-bit version of the TNT2 and aimed at system builders who want the TNT2 name without the full-fat price.
