Aureal Now Shipping First Retail Sound Cards

The useful part: The SQ1500 and SQ2500 are the first Aureal-branded sound cards to be sold via the retail channel.

Aureal Now Shipping First Retail Sound Cards hit the hardware desk today, aimed at PC users who still think specs, slots, drivers and bundled software are half the fun.

The useful part: The SQ1500 and SQ2500 are the first Aureal-branded sound cards to be sold via the retail channel. The cards should be available in the next few days in popular national chains including Best Buy, CompUSA, and Electronic Boutique. Additionally, Aureal began taking orders via its online store at www.aureal.com and www.a3d.com on October 13th. “This is a momentous occasion for our company,” said Kip Kokinakis, Aureal’s President and CEO. Listed pricing shows $11, so this is not vapor sitting on a press sheet.
