California Graphics to use Voodoo2 Rev3

3Dnews.net for letting me know that California Graphics, the 3D hardware company for games, has has announced that it is the first company to be shipping second generation 3Dfx Voodoo 2 graphics boards. “Some of the initial designs from other companies for Voodoo2 boards had problems with overheating and failing after long use,” explained Vincenzo Coccoli, Chairman and CEO of California Graphics.

“We have worked closely with 3Dfx and are the first to have the new second generation design (Rev 03), which has been tested and approved by 3Dfx, and does not suffer from these problems.
