Rare Medium Building Carmen Sandiego Web Site, Live September 1

Carmen Sandiego is getting a home on the web. Rare Medium is building an interactive site for the brand with The Learning Company, the Mattel division behind the games, and it officially opens September 1.

The site aims at kids 8 to 12 and is designed to carry the feel of the CD-ROM series onto the Internet, mixing adventure, technology, and education. There is plenty of brand to draw on: over fifteen years of software teaching geography, history, language, arts, and math, plus three television shows, books, games, and puzzles. The only question left is the obvious one: where on the web is Carmen Sandiego? We find out September 1.
