Deadlode II Quake II Mission Pack Lands July 1
The Coven's Deadlode II, a Team Fortress-style multiplayer mission pack for Quake II, arrives July 1 for $10 plus postage, sold direct.
The Coven has pinned down a release date for Deadlode II: the multiplayer mission pack for Quake II arrives Thursday, July 1, sold straight from The Coven at $10 plus shipping. The pack was originally promised for early June, and the team says the slip bought time for extra bug hunting, gameplay tuning, better models and skins, and visible armor support.
Deadlode II grows out of Deadlode, the QuakeWorld Team Fortress mod built by Coven coder Kyle Mallory, and it aims to bring that same brand of team strategy and frenzy to Quake II. Ten bucks for a Team Fortress fix on the Quake II engine sounds fair to me, and a delay spent on bug hunting instead of hype is the right kind of delay.
