This one is moving from rumor and preview talk into something players can actually get their hands on.

Plus it has a performance improvements in Direct3D, DirectDraw and DirectSound, and enhancements to overall stability.

Now the only real question is whether it earns shelf space, because PC gamers are getting buried in boxes this year.
