EA Publishing Agreement with Firaxis Games

Electronic Arts, the world's largest interactive entertainment software company, announces the extension of its publishing agreement with Firaxis Games, a Hunt Valley, Md.-based independent game developer, founded by Sid Meier, Jeff Briggs and Brian Reynolds.

EA Publishing Agreement with Firaxis Games hit the wire on October 22, 1998. Electronic Arts, the world's largest interactive entertainment software company, announces the extension of its publishing agreement with Firaxis Games, a Hunt Valley, Md.-based independent game developer, founded by Sid Meier, Jeff Briggs and Brian Reynolds. With this extension, Electronic Arts will publish up to two additional titles created by Firaxis.

Under the original agreement announced in 1996, EA published the critically acclaimed Sid Meier's Gettysburg! in the fall of 1997 and this winter will release the highly anticipated Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.
