Blaze Entertainment has raised the prices of Evercade cartridges and Super Pocket handhelds in the UK and Europe, effective immediately. CEO Andrew Byatt announced the increases on July 10th, pushing UK cartridge prices from £19.99 to £24.99 and Super Pockets from £49.99 to £59.99. European prices climbed from €24.99 to €29.99 and €59.99 to €69.99, respectively. US prices remain unchanged, with the company citing tariff reductions as the reason.

The bump is modest in absolute terms, but notable for a budget-conscious ecosystem built around physical retro game collections. Blaze attributes the change to climbing NAND and DRAM costs, which it says are being driven in part by frenzied demand from the AI sector. For now, the Nexus handheld and the EXP-R, VS-R, and Alpha devices are unaffected.

It’s a stark reminder that even the most deliberately old-school corners of gaming can’t escape the economics of modern chip manufacturing. Whether the increase dampens collector appetite for Evercade cartridges remains to be seen, but for the moment, US buyers are spared.
