Extreme Annihilation Gaming Event announced

The Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL), announced today the details of its upcoming computer gaming event: Extreme Annihilation. The event will be held in a 15,0000 square foot ballroom at The Westin Park Central hotel in Dallas, Texas from 2:00PM Friday, March 12, 1999 until 4:00PM Sunday, March 14, 1999. Extreme Annihilation will host conferences, workshops, exhibitions, competitions and an official CPL tournament with $25,000 in cash and prizes.

For January 1999, this is the business side of gaming doing what it always does: studios forming, publishers moving money around, lawsuits flying, and everyone promising the next big thing. Somewhere in that mess, players eventually get the games. Maybe.
