Square Enix renames the Final Fantasy XIV overhaul to A Realm Reborn, a ground-up rebuild bringing a new world, better PC visuals and a PS3 version.
Square Enix has renamed the major Final Fantasy XIV overhaul previously known as version 2.0 to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Rebuilt from the ground up, it brings a new world and storyline, improved graphics on PC, and the long-awaited PlayStation 3 version. It’s a rare and ambitious thing: a studio tearing down a troubled MMO and rebuilding it rather than walking away.
