Flight Unlimited III packs 10,000 square miles of Seattle

Looking Glass' summer flight sim Flight Unlimited III features 10,000 square miles of satellite-sourced Seattle terrain, from Mt. Rainier to the Space Needle.

Looking Glass Studios has detailed the scenery in Flight Unlimited III, its civilian flight sim due this summer with Electronic Arts co-publishing. The headline number is 10,000 square miles of photo realistic Seattle-area terrain built from satellite data: Mt. Rainier, the Space Needle, downtown, the lakes and waterways, even the Mariners’ new stadium still under construction and the freshly built house of a certain software billionaire. Pilots can also range across the whole Western United States.

Owners of the Flight Unlimited II scenery disc get a bonus: pop it in and you can fly another 10,000 square miles of satellite-photo San Francisco. Buzzing a billionaire’s lakefront compound in a civilian sim was not a feature I expected to write about this year, but here we are.
