Alienware to Bundle GameSpy 3D With All Its Gaming PCs

GameSpy 3D will be bundled with every Alienware gaming system, with cross-promotion included and more bundling deals under consideration.

GameSpy Industries and Alienware announced a bundling deal today: GameSpy 3D will ship on every one of Alienware’s high-performance gaming systems. Buyers get the server-hunting software out of the box, ready to track down fast online gaming servers the first time the machine goes online.

The agreement also covers cross-promotion on the Internet and in other media, and GameSpy says it is looking into similar bundles with other companies. Makes sense from both sides. If you are dropping serious money on a rig built for online play, the first thing you install is GameSpy 3D anyway. Now you can skip that step.
