GammaOS Nano v1.4 is out for the Anbernic RG DS, the first device to get a build that its developer, Gamma, describes as a full overhaul rather than a point release. The build is live on GitHub but sits behind the Gamma Patreon for now, with a public release to follow later.

The headline additions are three swappable home themes: a DSi System Menu recreation (the default on the RG DS, dual-screen carousel and all), a PS3 XMB with the animated wave wallpaper and glass icons, and a stripped-back Minima theme in the MinUI/NextUI mold. Under that sits DraStic-nano for faster DS emulation with RetroAchievements support, custom and video wallpapers, an in-game overlay on a power-button hold, improved sleep mode, and a built-in media browser. A few caveats worth knowing before you flash: Nano ships with no Google services by design, RetroAchievements is Softcore only for now (Hardcore is pending approval from the RetroAchievements team), and the performance gains are for NDS and DraStic, not 3DS titles.
