Interplay Will Distribute Three Monolith RPGs on PC This Fall
Interplay will distribute three Monolith RPGs in North America this fall: Septerra Core, Rage of Mages II: Necromancer, and Odium, all on PC.
Interplay and Monolith signed an exclusive deal today that puts Interplay in charge of distributing three Monolith role-playing games in North America: Septerra Core, Rage of Mages II: Necromancer, and Odium. All three are due on PC this fall.
Septerra Core, from Chicago developer Valkyrie Studios, has the strangest setting of the bunch: a futuristic world of seven continents stacked one above another, floating around a living computer core. Rage of Mages II is the sequel to the Russian-developed RPG/strategy hybrid, adding non-linear missions and more involved dealings with non-player characters. Odium goes dark, a conspiracy-laden horror RPG with hand-painted backgrounds, 3D character models, and turn-based combat.
Three RPGs from one distribution deal landing in a single fall is a lot, and my backlog is already giving me a look.
