Labtec LCS-2514 announced puts another piece of PC gear into the September hardware pile, and 1999 is not exactly short on that right now.

Labtec announced the introduction of a 4-channel surround sound PC speaker system. The LCS-2514 comes with 4 satellite speakers and a subwoofer that provide dynamic, realistic, multi-channel sound. This system is optimized for PC’s outfitted with 4-channel sound cards; however, users who own PC’s with standard sound cards can still experience phenomenal surround sound.

The hardware race is getting mean, and the upside is simple: gamers keep getting faster, stranger toys to bolt into their rigs.
