Logitech Force-Feedback Mouse Announced

March 16, 1999: Logitech says it will be shipping a force-feedback mouse for gaming in time for the Christmas 1999 selling season.

Logitech Force-Feedback Mouse Announced hits the March 1999 news desk on March 16, 1999. Logitech says it will be shipping a force-feedback mouse for gaming in time for the Christmas 1999 selling season.

The mouse, based upon FEELit technology from Immersion Corporation, is planned for release at street prices under $150. The vast majority of PC games sold are designed for control by a mouse, or mouse-plus-keyboard combination. The graphics and peripheral fight is not slowing down, which is good news if your machine needs one more excuse to eat your wallet.
