Need for Speed: High Stakes Ships for the PC

Electronic Arts has started shipping Need for Speed: High Stakes for the PC, the fourth PC entry in the racing series. This version folds in the key features from its PlayStation counterpart and adds a set of gameplay features built specifically for the PC.

The garage is an exclusive lineup of the world’s most coveted sports cars and supercars, each with its own driving feel, visible animated drivers behind the wheel, and full 3-D dashboards and cabins that light up and swing to left, right, and rear views. The real draw is the damage: cars take visible polygonal damage in collisions, and it affects both how the car looks and how it performs. Wreck your ride and you feel it for the rest of the race. That alone puts this one on my list.
