Microsoft will open beta test sign-ups for NFL Fever 2000 this Friday, June 18, with a catch: the company will not say what time. The application form goes up at an undisclosed point during the day, the idea being to give everyone a fair shot at it, which in practice means plan on hitting refresh a lot. A select group of applicants will be picked as early beta testers and get to play the football game months before it reaches store shelves.

As for the game itself, NFL Fever 2000 is an arcade-style football title with full control of both offense and defense, realistic moves and animations, a pile of special moves, and all 31 NFL teams with their stadiums and current rosters rendered in 3-D.
