Nintendo Download: 8-Bit Summer Brings NES Classics to eShop

Nintendo's eShop '8-bit Summer' brings NES classics back, including the original 1987 Legend of Zelda, to the 3DS.

This week’s Nintendo Download leans on nostalgia with the eShop’s ‘8-bit Summer’ series. The headliner is the original The Legend of Zelda, first released on the NES in 1987, back to help Link restore the Triforce, rescue the princess and thwart Ganon, now playable on 3DS. NES Open Tournament Golf joins it from the NES library too. Getting genuine NES classics back into players’ hands is exactly the kind of re-release we like to see.
