TGS: The PlayStation 3 Slims Down Again

Sony reveals a new 'super slim' PS3 at TGS, cutting weight by over half and raising storage to 250GB and 500GB models.

While the rest of us pack on pounds over the holidays, the PS3 has gone the other way. Sony’s new TGS redesign cuts the console’s weight by more than half and bumps storage, with 250GB and 500GB models replacing the old 160GB and 320GB. It launches worldwide in charcoal black, with a white version exclusive to Japan at first. A smaller, roomier PS3 at the right price is a tidy late-life refresh.
