Quantum3D and 3dfx Form Exclusive Relationship is the story today, and it is the kind of late-April 1999 news blast that makes the pre-E3 season feel like someone kicked the hornet nest. Quantum3D today revealed new product configurations at the 1999 International Training and Education Conference (ITEC ’99), in The Hague, The Netherlands, April 13th to 15th. Through the integration of Pentium III from Intel and Voodoo3 from 3dfx, Quantum3D offers the latest in PC-based realtime 3D image generation at a fraction of the cost of proprietary workstations. In addition, a variety of technology partners will announce adoption of Quantum3D technology, and demonstrate a range of innovative products running on Quantum3D’s hardware systems. Quantum3D and 3dfx form exclusive relationship in Visual Simulation and Out- of- Home Entertainment markets.

For PC players, this is the kind of spec-sheet news that either matters immediately or becomes the thing everyone argues about once the drivers land. Either way, keep an eye on it.
