RTIME Supports Sony’s Next Generation PlayStation puts another piece of PC gear into the September hardware pile, and 1999 is not exactly short on that right now.

RTIME, Inc., the leading provider of networking solutions for interactive, multiuser applications, today announced the RTIME Interactive Networking Engine for Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.’s (SCEI) next generation PlayStation system. RTIME’s software enables content developers to rapidly transition multiuser concepts into fully functional, high quality applications supporting interactive movement, voice, and video over the Internet and broadband networks. Using RTIME’s Communications Engine, content developers will be able to rapidly develop high performance multiuser applications that support multiple genres of interactive content from.

The hardware race is getting mean, and the upside is simple: gamers keep getting faster, stranger toys to bolt into their rigs.
