Sega of America says the appointment of Scott Ellyn as director of sales to its growing executive staff focused on the September 9, 1999, U.S. launch of Sega Dreamcast, the superconsole with a built-in 56K modem that brings the most realistic and advanced game play ever achieved in a consumer videogame system. Ellyn’s new responsibilities will include management of Sega’s sales efforts in North America, maintaining key relationships with retailers and expanding new business opportunities in North America. He brings more than 17 years of consumer sales experience in entertainment and ten years of application and productivity software and services to Sega.
