Sid Meier Enters the Hall of Fame

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS), revealed Sid Meier, creator of acclaimed computer games including Sid Meier's Civilization, Civilization II, Gettysburg! and the recently put out Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, as this year's recipient of the Academy's Hall of Fame award.

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS), revealed Sid Meier, creator of acclaimed computer games including Sid Meier's Civilization, Civilization II, Gettysburg! and the recently put out Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, as this year's recipient of the Academy's Hall of Fame award.

Mr. Meier will receive the award at the annual Interactive Achievement Awards, set to take place on May 13, the first evening of the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, California. The only real test starts now. Boxes, demos, patches, and downloads do not mean much until players start hammering on them.
