Strategy First sponsors Online Competitions on HEAT.NET is today’s promo hook. Publishers are throwing prizes, rebates and giveaways at players, because apparently just selling the game is not enough anymore.

The useful part: Gaming fans have the opportunity to challenge each other at Disciples: Sacred Lands, Clans and Man of War II, while competing for exceptional prizes. The games are featured during two different time spots; the Strategy Session, every day at 3:00 pm (PST) and the Prize Match at 5:00 pm (PST). Disciples is also being featured in Prize Night, the prime time spot scheduled every night at 7 pm. File it under the usual 1999 PC pile: interesting, crowded, and probably fighting five other releases for attention.
