TEN Changes Name to pogo.com is today’s industry move, and it is one more reminder that the games business is growing up fast, whether it is ready or not.

Total Entertainment Network (TEN), the leading Internet provider of family games for everyone in the broad consumer market, effective immediately, it is changing its service, company and domain name to pogo.com. The company today also launched its own game site under its new name, along with events, promotions and six new games to celebrate its new identity. “pogo.com” captures the spirit of the online games service’s fun attitude, user-friendly environment, and wealth of familiar games suitable for players of all ages.

It is business news, sure, but these moves shape what games get made, what stores carry them, and who is still standing next year.
