Terminus Targets Mac, PC, And Linux In One Box
Vicarious Visions previews Terminus, a persistent space sim built for Linux, PC, and Mac in one release.
Vicarious Visions has previewed Terminus, a single-player and multiplayer space combat sim being published by Vatical Entertainment this spring. The big swing here is platform support: Terminus is being built for Linux, PC, and Mac at the same time, with all versions designed to work together.
The game is pitching a persistent Solar System with a real-time economy, 18 space stations, and events that keep moving whether the player is logged in or not. Supplies can be hijacked, prices can change during a trip, and battles can reshape what players find when they arrive.
Terminus also supports GameSpy for finding servers, with no subscription fee attached. A persistent space sim that ships in one box for three operating systems sounds insane in the best possible way. Now Vicarious Visions has to make the universe feel alive instead of just busy.
