Timeline Studios to use Giant’s MotionReality landed today, giving players another thing to circle on the calendar.

Giant Studios is behind the announcement. Giant Studios, the Atlanta-based performance animation house and Timeline Studios, the newly formed computer gaming company of best selling author Michael Crichton, today announced an agreement to use Giant’s MotionReality motion capture system in Timeline’s new interactive production.

In the agreement, Giant Studios will provide motion capture services for the game from their facility in Atlanta. Giant’s R&D department will create custom software and hardware solutions based on Timeline’s specifications.

expected to be published in the first half of 2000.

PC hardware is moving stupid fast right now, and this is one more part of that arms race.
