THQ Releases Ultimate 8 Ball for PC at $19.99

THQ has released Ultimate 8 Ball, a PC billiards simulation developed by Mirage Technologies, now at major retail outlets across North America for $19.99. The feature list is genuinely deep for twenty bucks: 14 pool modes, 15 table sizes and shapes, and more than 15 3D-rendered opponents to hustle.

The modes run from two flavors of eight ball and speed pool through 9 Ball, 10 Ball, 6 Ball, 3 Ball, Straight Pool, Rotation, Killer, and Cut Throat. You can run the cue with a mouse or a gamepad, play against friends online, climb the ladder of computer opponents toward pool-pro status, or hit the School of Pool to learn the fundamentals first.
