Full List of Wii U Launch-Window Games

Nintendo reveals the full Wii U launch-window game list, a broad, third-party-heavy slate including Black Ops II, NBA 2K13 and Skylanders Giants.

Alongside the Wii U’s launch date and price, Nintendo revealed the full slate of games coming in the console’s launch window. It’s a broad, third-party-heavy list: 2K Sports’ NBA 2K13, Activision’s 007 Legends, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Transformers Prime, Wipeout 3 and Skylanders Giants, plus a stack of others from publishers like 505 Games.

A launch lineup this dependent on multiplatform ports is a double-edged sword: plenty to play day one, but not much that’s uniquely Wii U beyond the first-party titles. How well those ports use the GamePad will say a lot about whether developers take the hardware seriously.
