WinFast GeForce256 announced puts another piece of PC gear into the September hardware pile, and 1999 is not exactly short on that right now.

Leadtek Research announced full product details of its next-generation 3D accelerator. The WinFast GeForce256, based on NVIDIA’s GeForce 256 GPU, has significantly exceeded the requirement for performing 3D gaming and animation applications in the consumer market, redefining the performance standard over a full range of 3D/2D and business applications. The product is scheduled to ship at the end of September.

The hardware race is getting mean, and the upside is simple: gamers keep getting faster, stranger toys to bolt into their rigs.
