Zork Grand Inquisitor DVD Shipped

Activision will ship its first DVD-ROM title, Zork Grand Inquisitor, to retail outlets throughout the United States and Canada the week of November 30, 1998.

Zork Grand Inquisitor DVD Shipped is the story on November 30, 1998, and it is one of those late-1998 PC gaming updates that says exactly where the scene is right now. Activision will ship its first DVD-ROM title, Zork Grand Inquisitor, to retail outlets throughout the United States and Canada the week of November 30, 1998. The game, which was originally available for CD-ROM, will carry a suggested retail price of $39.95.

The latest installment in the best-selling Zork series, Zork Grand Inquisitor, allows players to see many of the famed locations and characters from the Zork universe. The White House, GUE Tech and a Brogmoid, are just a few highlights players will encounter as they travel back in Zork time. For the DVD-ROM version, Activision reprogrammed the PC game's video sequences using MPEG-2 video compression technology, and is taking advantage of the disc's extra storage capacity, by offering the CD-ROM version of Zork Nemesis on the ROM. Physical releases still matter, especially when the box gives collectors something better than another plain jewel case.
