Call of Duty: Black Ops is a first-person shooter developed by Treyarch and published by Activision, originally released in November 2010 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, and Nintendo DS. Set during the Cold War, the campaign follows CIA operative Alex Mason through a series of covert operations and flashbacks. The game introduced the fan-favorite Zombies mode alongside a robust multiplayer suite. In 2026, Activision announced that Iron Galaxy would port the title natively to modern PlayStation consoles, bringing Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies to hardware that had previously only accessed the game through PS3 backwards compatibility.
