POCG VERDICT
Terminally cute, unexpectedly hilarious, and you can paint your dogs purple.
Dogz 3 is a sandbox of virtual puppy chaos. From photo-ops to paintbrush colors, it’s way more fun than it has any right to be.
About This Game

Dogz 3 is a virtual pet simulation game developed by PF.Magic and published by Mindscape Entertainment in 1998. It is the third installment in the Petz series, following Dogz and Dogz II. Players adopt a puppy from a selection of breeds, each with distinct behaviors and personalities, and care for it in a 2D desktop environment. The game features breeding, daily care, and interaction with other Dogz. The AI-driven pets exhibit emergent behaviors, including interactions with other adopted pets, resulting in playful, jealous, or aggressive reactions. Dogz 3 introduced new breeds, improved graphics, and more detailed animations compared to its predecessors. The game was released for Windows 95/98 and Macintosh. It is part of a series that also includes Catz, and was later acquired by The Learning Company. Dogz 3 is remembered fondly as a charming desktop companion that offered a unique blend of virtual pet care and personality simulation.
