Hidden & Dangerous is a squad-based tactical shooter set in World War II, developed by Illusion Softworks and published by TalonSoft. Players command a four-man team of British SAS operatives across missions ranging from sabotage to reconnaissance. The game emphasizes planning with a unique timeline-based orders system accessible via a 3D map, allowing players to coordinate movement and actions with precision. Each operative can be controlled directly or issued commands, and a variety of authentic weapons and vehicles are available. While the single-player experience is marred by frustrating AI, the game shines in cooperative multiplayer, offering tense, realistic combat that rewards teamwork. The 1.2 patch addressed some control and clipping issues, but the game remains rough around the edges.
