NCAA Football 13
NCAA Football 13 is a 2012 college football simulation developed by EA Tiburon and published by EA Sports for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Part of EA's long-running NCAA Football series, the college counterpart to its flagship Madden NFL franchise, it featured authentic American college teams, stadiums, traditions and the distinctive pageantry of the college game, capturing the sport's regional rivalries and high-stakes atmosphere. The game emphasised its deep 'Dynasty' mode, in which players manage a program over many seasons through recruiting, scheduling and roster development, alongside the 'Road to Glory' career mode following a single player's path and the 'Heisman Challenge' mode, which let players take control of legendary Heisman Trophy winners. On the field it refined passing, with a new ball-trajectory and read-and-react passing system, and AI. Well received by fans and critics for its authenticity and depth, NCAA Football 13 nonetheless arrived near the end of the series' run: legal disputes over the use of college athletes' likenesses without compensation led EA to discontinue the franchise, making the NCAA Football games of this era the last of their kind for years until a 2024 revival. It remains a nostalgic favourite for college-football fans. Likeness-rights disputes ended the series shortly after, and college football games would not return for over a decade.
