The guests are the real monsters.
Sim Theme Park promised Bullfrog's magic, but the nightmare guests made me wish for a refund. A theme park management sim where the only thing you'll manage is your temper.
About This Game

Sim Theme Park is a theme park management simulation developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts in 2000. As a spin-off of the broader Sim series, the game puts players in charge of designing, building, and operating their own amusement parks. Players place rides, attractions, shops, and amenities, manage staff, set prices, and try to keep guests happy while turning a profit.

The game features a distinctive visual style with claymation-inspired character models and a whimsical, cartoonish presentation. One of its signature features is the first-person 'camcorder' mode, which allows the park manager to walk through the park from a guest's perspective, riding rides and observing the environment up close.

Sim Theme Park includes multiple themed parks across different worlds (such as Fantasy Land, Halloween Land, and Space Zone) and introduces a research tree, weather effects, and seasonal events. The guest AI is more detailed than in many contemporary management sims, with individual needs and behaviors that can be problematic if not managed well. Despite ambitions to build on Bullfrog's pedigree of innovative sim games, the title received mixed reviews, with criticism directed at its chaotic guest management and technical issues.
