POCG VERDICT
A brilliant, broken, bloody masterpiece of an RPG, but you'd better have a high tolerance for bugs and adult themes.
The best story in gaming, wrapped in performance woes and seedy content. If you can stomach its flaws, Bloodlines is an unforgettable, heart-wrenching ride.
About This Game

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is a 2004 action role-playing game developed by Troika Games and published by Activision. Set in White Wolf's World of Darkness, it casts players as a newly embraced vampire in modern-day Los Angeles, forced to navigate the treacherous politics of undead society while unraveling a conspiracy surrounding an ancient sarcophagus. The game uses Valve's Source engine and blends first- and third-person combat, stealth, and extensive dialogue choices determined by the player's selected vampire clan. Acclaimed for its deep, branching narrative and character interactions, Bloodlines was also plagued by technical issues and bugs at launch. It has since earned a devoted following as a cult classic of PC role-playing.
