POCG VERDICT
A handsome, lore-rich return undercut by the always-online leash and grind.
Diablo III nails the dark mood and connects neatly to Diablo II, but the always-online requirement, thin customization and grind hold it back.
About This Game

Diablo III is Blizzard Entertainment's 2012 action-RPG, the third entry in the dark dungeon-crawler series. Set twenty years after Diablo II, it returns players to Sanctuary across four acts with five classes, randomized loot and an always-online requirement that proved contentious at launch.
