New SimCity 3000 Site: Noted on Telefragged that Maxis has opened a new site for Simcity 3000 at http://206.132.59.130/.

Descent 3 Demo v1.1: Outrage Entertainment has update their website with the following on the Descent 3 demo patch: Testing is still being conducted on the latest 1.1 patch.
The important bit: That's right folks at the time of this post (8:30 PM CST) Chips & Bits is allowing you to pre-order Valve's Team Fortress (TF2) for the low, low price of $24.99.
Microsoft Buys FASA Interactive: It seems that FASA Interactive, developers of the MechCommander and the MechWarrior line of games, has been bought by Microsoft.
The important bit: Ice Pick Games has launched the official Bank Heist website. It is not as fun as a new demo, but these moves decide what games actually get made, sold, patched, or buried.
The important bit: Blue Byte released a demo of Settlers III. In Settlers III most of the basics from the first pair of titles remain untouched.
The important bit: Firaxis released a demo of their highly anticipated Alpha Centauri.
